You have heard of ransomware? The snakes and rats (bad people) load on to our PCs their Trojans, keyloggers etc to watch us. If your business has turned into something that is worth attacking, they will move in to take control. They lock your PC down and then tell you how much they want you to pay (payment usually in bitcoin or some untraceable transaction). They tried to take control of Bajan Eagle’s systems, but the King helped the eagle; BIG TIME.

This attack on my IT systems was deeply revealing. Forget relying solely on firewalls. Forget the fact that I followed all the rules to keep my system secure. What I discovered is this: the class of hacker that came after my systems could walk right past all of that—with little to no effort.

Why are you here?

As you know by now, Bajan Eagle is a follower of the Way – Read more about Bajan Eagle and the Way. And as a follower of the Way, I am commanded to love my neighbours (even my enemies). And, I do love my neighbours and not just because I am commanded, but because I do from my heart.

Out of love this is a free information service that I now give to you, so that you are better able to protect your business.

Before we begin, I am assuming that you have a good antivirus software and are acquainted with good internet safety. To check that there is no file integrity compromise on your computer, you only need to run a “sfc” command.

Note: The attack I am educating you on is not about the regular – see the regular attacks outlined here and what you can do to protect your systems. This type of attack that I experienced is for the books. We begin; You or your IT support should do the following (sfc).

First Step.
Run sfc /scannow command.
To run sfc /scannow, open Command Prompt as an administrator, type the command “sfc /scannow”, and press Enter. This will initiate a scan of system files and attempt to repair any corrupted ones. After it is completed running and you see a bad/error message, you should reboot the computer. How to run sfc command – on Win 10-11.

Fig 1

If you see this message after the sfc scan, you are good (for now). If you still want to know how to secure your system going forward in the future, use the form on this page (option).

Fig 2

If you see this message (corrupt files), your IT system may be compromised. DO NOT PANIC. If your system is compromised, they are only watching.

Second Step.
Run sfc /scannow command again after a reboot. After reboot you should see no file integrity violations. You should see Fig 1.

Third Step.
Now work as normal and at the end of the day shut down your PC (reboot or do a sign-out and sign back-in). The next time you reboot or turn on your PC/Laptop run the sfc /scannow command a second time. If Fig 2 (file violation) re-appears after a reboot, you have a problem. Send your details by the form, and an email with instructions will be sent back to you. DO NOT CALL the Bajan Eagle on this matter. If you want to contact me directly on this matter, instructions will be included in the email. – note, we can still talk business, but not on this subject.

Please fill out form to receive email from @oneagleswings.ws regarding removing the risk.
